Build life long friendships both two legged and four! Riding Camps are packed with adventure in the great outdoors; tons of fresh air and laughter, not to mention so much horse riding and caring for our noble steeds.
Swim with horses! Walk, trot or canter the show jumping and barrel racing courses. Ride cross country courses and incredible trails through open country, bushland and rainforests! Enjoy riding lessons in the dressage arena improving confidence and riding skills. Learn how to care for your horse and plait up for the Fun Gymkhana!
Children are given a horse to ride and care for the duration of camp under professional and safe instruction. Riding Camps are fully supervised at all times.
Riding Camps run during the NSW public school holidays throughout the year and include four amazing days of equine adventures! Camps are open to school age children of all ages from intermediate to advanced riding ability. For safety, the minimum riding requirement to attend camp is for all children to be confident in the walk and trot. If children are beginner riders and wish to attend camp, no problem! Riding Lessons are available each week at Kangaroo Valley Horses to help children to learn and enjoy the basic riding skills in preparation for camp.
QUALIFICATIONS OF THE RIDING INSTRUCTORS: Kangaroo Valley Horses Instructors are experienced riders and experienced instructors accredited with Horse Safety Australia. Instructors are approved by the Working with Children Check - Office of the Children’s Guardian NSW government and hold current senior Apply First Aid accreditation with St John Ambulance Australia.
ACCOMODATION AND MEALS: Accommodation is bunk style and fully supervised in a charming country cottage surrounded by farmland and the National Park. All delicious meals are provided at camp and include daily fresh fruit and vegetables, salads, cheese, yogurt, pancakes, Lasagne, Nachos or Burritos, a Bar BQ, fresh sandwiches, wraps, snacks and drinks on the trail. Camps cater for children with individual dietary or medical requirements wherever possible.

Costs of School Holiday Riding Camps
The cost for children hiring a horse at camp is $760.00
Camp fees include all horse hire, instruction, meals and accommodation
The cost for children bringing their own horse to camp is $650.00
Camp fees include all riding instruction, meals and accommodation
Payment in full is required to secure a position at camp. Payment is refundable with a minimum of two weeks notice prior to camp commencing.
