HORSE TRAINING & RIDING CLINICS

Natural Horsemanship Training Clinic

Open to adults and children from beginner to advanced riding ability.

Learn how to communicate with horses in their language. Understand their signs and behavior. Gain the respect and trust of horses, ponies and foals unbroken, or not started, right through to educated horses. Work on the ground with horses. Witness an incredible demonstration of communication skills using Natural Horsemanship methods.  And, enjoy instruction during a riding lesson in the arena.

 

Horse Care and Rescue Clinic

Are you considering buying your own horse, rescuing a horse, or do you simply enjoy being around horses?
This clinic is perfectly suited to adults and children of all ages and is filled with informative and practical demonstrations. The Horse Care and Rescue Clinic is designed to teach the essentials of looking after and caring for horses. Instruction includes selecting the appropriate horse breed, age, temperament and level of education to suit each individual; feeding and grooming horses, paddock management and agistment, the correct tack to use for a preferred discipline, how and when to rug, worm and vaccinate. Understanding and handling horses safely. How to apply first aid. When do we call the farrier, the vet, the dentist? And, the all important question: How much will it cost to care for my horse? Additionally, if you are interested in the possibility of rescuing a horse from slaughter, this clinic provides you with the information required to help in several ways from volunteering your time, to horse sponsorship & adoption.


Cost of Equestrian Clinics

$150.00 per day to attend one or two full day Equestrian Clinics
$140.00 per day to attend three full day Clinics
$130.00 per day to attend four or more full day Clinics
$ 95.00 per day to join a half day Equestrian Clinic

 

Qualifications of the Clinic Instructors

Kangaroo Valley Horses Instructors are experienced riders and experienced instructors accredited with Horse Safety Australia. Instructors are approved by the Working with Children Check - Office of the Children’s Guardian NSW government and hold current senior Apply First Aid accreditation with St John Ambulance Australia.

Please be advised that all Horse Training customers must sign a Contract and a Waiver Form, Acknowledgement of Risk, as a condition of participating in all, or any activities with at Kangaroo Valley Horses

 

The Forms and Contracts must be completed when you arrive at Riverstone before any activities take place including, Horse Handling, Horse Riding and Horse Agistment
